Water
Water frequently, especially in summer!
Geraniums need plenty of water: The soil should always be moist. Therefore, water them once or several times a day in high temperatures.
In cold weather, however, water only occasionally and make sure that the soil does not dry out.
Sometimes the water you normally use is not suitable for geraniums due to its high calcium content.
You can solve this problem by letting the water stand in the watering can overnight and placing some sphagnum moss at the bottom. This will ensure that the water has the optimal pH level for your plant.
Attention :
Avoid standing water when watering, as this can lead to root rot. Also avoid watering the leaves, as this can encourage fungal or mold growth.
pots
One of the secrets to a healthy plant is the pot you plant it in.
Geraniums can be planted in pots of any shape, but the size is important.
The ideal pot size is at least 20 cm in diameter and at least 15 to 20 cm deep: these are actually the optimal dimensions for the free development of the plant’s roots.
However, if the geranium is very large, you should choose larger pots, up to 40 cm in diameter.
You can place gravel on the bottom of the pot to make it heavier and prevent the plant from being blown over by the wind.
Floor
Geraniums require slightly acidic soil.
