There was a time when doing laundry wasn’t as easy as pressing a button and walking away.
Simple tricks made all the difference…
One of them? Sprinkling water on clothes before ironing.
It may sound strange to some people today, but back then, it was almost a must. Without steam irons, slightly wetting the fabric helped remove wrinkles faster and made ironing much smoother.
It was a small habit—but it worked.
And somehow, it also made the whole process feel more… human.
Today, everything is faster. We have advanced irons, steam technology, and shortcuts for almost everything. But in gaining speed, we may have lost those little moments that connected us to simple routines.
So the question is…
Do you remember doing this?
Or hearing your parents talk about it?
